Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers met in the 2nd match of BBL 2022/23 yesterday (Wednesday). Adelaide Strikers set a great target in the scheduled 20 overs after batting first in that match. But in the 2nd innings, Sydney Sixers could not reach the target as the scheduled 20 overs ended. Also, Adelaide Strikers are in the 1st place in the points table after winning the 1st match. Besides, Matthew Short won the man-of-the-match title for Adelaide Strikers due to his excellent batting and good bowling.
After winning the toss, Adelaide Strikers chose to bat first and sent the Sydney Sixers to bowl. Adelaide Strikers opener Jake Weatherald left the field after playing only 3 balls. He was caught out and left the field. Then Chris Lynn and Matthew Short batted brilliantly. Take the team’s runs from 2 runs to 97 runs. Their pair broke in the 12th over. Chris Lynn left the field after being caught out by Naveed. But he scored 41 off 34 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes before getting out. Henry Thornton took 4 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs for Adelaide Strikers and Rashid Khan took 3 wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs.
